Veteran Wellness

Supporting Health, Recovery, and Everyday Well-Being

Military service can place extraordinary demands on the body. Years of physical training, repetitive movement, injuries, and the lasting effects of service can continue to impact daily life long after active duty ends.

Massage therapy has become an increasingly recognized part of veteran care, helping many individuals manage pain, improve mobility, support recovery, and enhance their overall well-being as part of a broader healthcare plan.

At OMAJ Clinic, we're honored to provide professional massage therapy for eligible veterans through VA Community Care in a respectful, welcoming environment centered around your individual needs.

How Massage Therapy May Help

Massage therapy may benefit veterans experiencing:

  • Chronic muscle and joint pain
  • Neck, shoulder, and back pain
  • Limited mobility and stiffness
  • Recovery from physical injuries
  • Muscle tension related to everyday stress
  • Difficulty relaxing or sleeping
  • General stress and anxiety

Every individual is different, and every session is personalized to your comfort level, health history, and goals.

What to Expect

Your first visit begins with a conversation.

We'll take time to understand your health history, your goals, and any concerns before beginning treatment. Throughout your session, you're always in control. We'll check in with you regularly, adjust pressure to your comfort level, and encourage open communication so your experience feels safe, respectful, and supportive.

Caring for Veterans

Many veterans continue to live with the physical effects of military service. While massage therapy is not a treatment for PTSD or other mental health conditions, research suggests it may help reduce muscle tension, promote relaxation, improve sleep, and support overall well-being as part of a comprehensive healthcare plan.

Our role is to provide compassionate, professional care while respecting your individual experiences and working alongside the recommendations of your healthcare team.

Evidence-Based Care

Research continues to explore the role of massage therapy in supporting veterans experiencing chronic pain, reduced mobility, stress, anxiety, sleep challenges, and other service-related health concerns.

Organizations such as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) recognize massage therapy as one of several complementary approaches that may support overall health and well-being for some veterans when incorporated into a broader plan of care.

Here When You Need Us

Whether you're beginning your wellness journey, recovering from an injury, or looking for additional support alongside your existing healthcare, OMAJ Clinic is committed to providing respectful, personalized care that helps you move more comfortably and continue doing the things that matter most.
